Fleas and Ticks

Please tell me straight away if you suspect there may be fleas or if you have seen any fleas on your dog. If fleas are found during the bathing process, I will use a flea shampoo. If ticks are found, I will remove them and inform you. There will be an additional charged for flea treatments.

Aggressive or Dangerous Pets

For insurance purposes owners MUST inform me if your pet bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. 

Mat Removal

In the event of a dog being found to be excessively matted, a clip off will be the only option offered, as brushing out tightly matted coats is painful for your dog. If matting is found to be too close to the skin, and requires clipping, this may result in small cuts to the skin. There may also be an additional charge for severely matted coats.

Health and Medical Problems

If at any time your pet should need immediate veterinary treatment during their stay, I will do my best to contact you (the owner) first. I will then take your pet to the closest veterinary surgery for immediate treatment. By signing the policies agreement, Sallywags Dog Salon has permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet if deemed necessary. 

If your dog becomes too stressed with any of the grooming procedures I will not continue. 

Appointments

If you are running late for your appointment time, please call as soon as possible. I will do my best to accommodate the delay, but it may be necessary for you to reschedule.

Cancellations

Kindly give at least 24 hours' notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. There will be a £10 Charge for late cancellations and a £20 charge for a no show. Repeated missed appointments will require full payment for all future appointments at time of booking. I understand that sometimes there are emergency situations.
